I am Sreeraksha. I was born and brought up in Bangalore. Later on, I moved to the US to pursue my Masters. I currently work as a hardware engineer. This blog is a compilation of all the cooking experiments that I end up doing in an attempt to create dishes which are both healthy and tasty 🙂

I always loved helping out in the kitchen, but it was not until I came abroad to study that I truly had to do it all on my own. Through grad school, I really did not have a lot of time to plan out meals. Once I got out of school and started working, I realized that I was starting to slip into a rather sedentary lifestyle. I knew that if I did not do something about it, it would only get worse with time. It was then that I took my first step towards adopting a better lifestyle. I knew it would have to be a gradual change. I started exercising and being more conscious about what I eat.

For a long time, I would just keep notes of all the different things I tried in a small book and shared pics with my friends and family. But I really love to write, and a blog seemed like a great way to combine writing with my interest for food. With each recipe post, I always hint a little about adopting a healthier lifestyle too 🙂 I chose the tagline healthy yet tasty because I truly believe that it is possible to create healthy dishes that taste good too! I really hope that the recipes here can inspire readers to get creative in their kitchen.

I love to try out different veggies and whole grains and so you will find plenty of classic/traditional recipes here that have been recreated to add a healthy punch to it. Some recipes are just created out of experimentation. I really hope you will enjoy reading and trying out these recipes. You can be as creative as you wish and adapt these to suit your taste 🙂 I would love to hear your feedback and suggestions!
