Rava Oats Paddu/Paniyaram (Instant)

Usually my Sunday breakfast consists of dosa/uthapam. I have already posted several instant dosa recipes – Oats Wheat Dosa (With Avocado)ย and Oats Mixed Vegetable Utthapam. This week I wanted to change up the routine a bit ๐Ÿ™‚ I tried paniyaram/paddu. Again with instant batter ๐Ÿ™‚ I have an oats buckwheat paniyaramย recipe already on the blog. This time I tried a rava oats paniyaram! The texture/consistency is a bit different than the wheat one because adding wheat makes the paddu a little dense. The wheat ones are also definitely more filling ๐Ÿ™‚

Oats Mixed Vegetable Uthappam (Instant)

Uthappam is one of the easiest breakfast dishes that you can try. With some dosa batter and chopped veggies on hand, you can create a delicious breakfast in minutes. I am all about adding some wholesome ingredients like whole grains or vegetables in every meal – hence the mixed veggie oats uthappam! ย I also feel that the quicker it is to prepare something, the more likely Iย will try it – So I opt for simple and quick recipe fixes.

Microwave Khaman-Oats Spinach Dhokla

Khaman Dhokla is an Indian steamed savory cake made using chickpea flour/gram flour/besan. It is one quick, healthy treat that is loved by all! It is one of those classic dishes like Indian samosas. There a ton of variants and recipes already up on the internet for a lot of khaman dhokla recipes and other variants! But this is my take on it. I figured it had to feature on my blog since I make it practically every time I am hungry and want something super quick. There are a couple of pros and cons of using microwave to prepare dhokla. For the plus points – it is really easy, quick and is a great way to stay away from junk food when you are super hungry! On the other hand, like most quick shortcuts to Indian food, using a microwave just does not give the same texture as steaming the dhokla. That being said I still love this recipe ๐Ÿ˜€

Healthy Mango and Oats Pancakes

Being a vegetarian (minus eggs) person, pancakes are again one thing that I can’t have outside ๐Ÿ™ I knew what needs to be done to whip up a quick batch of eggless pancakes, but somehow I never got around it! And then today I was home all day and the weather was really warm and I wanted ice-cream. So the ever-faithful, absolutely healthy and smashing one-ingredient ice-cream came to my rescue! While the ice-cream was freezing – I thought of having pancakes and ice-cream for lunch ๐Ÿ™‚ That is not too bad right – oats, mangoes, bananas and milk!

Oats Pesto Stir Fry

As soon as I think of pesto, the first thing that comes to my mind is sandwiches ๐Ÿ˜€ I love a good pesto sandwich! Recently I got a jar of pesto from the store and was thinking of some creative ways to use it. And while the thinking was happening, the jar was just sitting on the kitchen counter for a couple of weeks! That happens to me quite often! Sometimes when I am shopping for groceries I end up buying something thinking that I am going to use it and then it lies around for a while. A long time ago I hated oats. I still don’t like plain oat meal for breakfast ๐Ÿ˜€ So back then I would plan to eat healthy and buy a big box of oats but it would just end up sitting on the counter for months and I would never use it! But eventually I did fall in love with oats. Slowly over time. I think most of you can guess that by the number of oats recipes I have up here on the blog! Check out
